TASTING NOTES The nose is delineated and fresh with blackberry, wild strawberry and minty scents emanating from the Cabernet component. The palate is well balanced with crisp tannin, well balanced with good substance for a 2013. What I appreciate here is that it maintains the style of Figeac: structured with just a touch of austerity, backed up by a crisp line of acidity and a cedar-tinged finish. DESCRIPTION The making of this great wine begins with painstaking work in the vines which adheres to the principles of environmentally-friendly integrated crop management to produce grapes of great complexity that mirror the amazing terroir of FIGEAC. The wine-making methods allow the grapes to express elegance in the wine. Harmonious and elegant, FIGEAC reveals lovely balance even in its youth. Its long ageing potential is one of the greatest of all the top Bordeaux growths.
