The Mompertone Monferrato DOC by Prunotto appears in the glass in deep ruby red with violet reflections. Rich aromas of red fruits, especially plum and cherry with scents of violets, spicy notes and coffee fill the nose. On the palate, this red from Piedmont is captivating, dense, rich in soft, supple tannins, of good structure and body, elegant and persistent. The finish is long, harmoniously round and sustainable. Vinification of the Mompertone Monferrato DOC by Prunotto Grape Varieties: 60% Barbera - 40% Syrah. The wine is aged for twelve months in used French barriques, the bottling is followed by a further rest period of 6 months.
