TASTING NOTES The Pinot Noir has a deep ruby colour. Full-bodied and hearty, it reveals fresh fruit aromas, such as Morello cherries. Its silky tannins and length make it a very well-balanced wine. We recommend tasting this wine at 13-14 °C. DESCRIPTION The vineyards are situated in the Upper Aude Valley towards the Pyrenean foothills. Because of the elevation, the climate is cooler and the grapes ripen later. It is a favourite “terroir” for grape varieties used to make wines for laying down, and particularly Pinot Noir, which was one of the main varieties planted in the province in the 15th Century, according to the contemporary historian Emmanuel LEROY-LADURIE.
