TASTING NOTES
On the nose, the wine presents a great finesse and complexity. It reveals ripe black fruits (blackcurrant and elderberry), tobacco and minerality. The palate is round, fine with wrapped tannins. It is fresh and powerful. A very beautiful definition and a great elegance. 2015 is a great vintage with a remarkable balance.

Château Ferrière 2015 was purchased in its original wooden cases.
Château Ferrière boasts the style and class of Margaux, without having to raid the piggy bank – a boutique operation of just 8 hectares – and the Médoc’s smallest Grand Cru Classé. Ferrière’s ambitious owner, Claire Villars, has taken what was one of the Médoc’s greatest disappointments to dizzying heights of quality and value-for-money in just two decades. Benefiting from a great terroir, Ferrière typically produces elegant, silky wines of real finesse.

DESCRIPTION
To produce the wine of Château Ferriere, vinification takes place in a combination of temperature controlled, traditional, cement tanks and large wood vats for about 20 days. The older vines are vinified in the wood.
Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrel and tank. The wines are aged in up to 60% new, French oak barrels for about 18 months. There is a second wine, Les Remparts de Ferriere. On average, the estate produces about 8,000 cases of wine per vintage.
