With a deep ruby colour, this wine’s powerful bouquet reveals red berry, cherry and wild strawberry aromas, with prominent hints of spices and prunes as well as leather and truffles. The attack is supple and aromatic, in harmony with the aromas of the bouquet. A rounded, elegant wine that is well-structured and powerful with a long-lasting finish.
The grapes are picked at full ripeness. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out under temperature control with traditional maceration. After the malolactic fermentation the wine is matured partly in vats for 8 months in order to conserve the fruit, and partly in oak barrels. After a light fining operation the wine is aged for several months in bottles.
