Bright ruby colour with the aromas of red fruit like raspberry, red currants, wild strawberry. On the palate, the wine is highly appealing, fruity and refreshing, with light velvet tannins.
The history of this wine goes back to the 1970s, when Robert Drouhin (Véronique's father) created "the Burgundy to unveil Burgundy". His idea was to enhance the diversity of different terroirs and the elegance of the Drouhin style. He deliberately picked grapes from parcels situated near the top of the slopes, on the top, closer to the forest. Being a nature lover he called his wine "LaForêt" (translates the forest in French). He then set out to conquer the market and fortune favoured him".
