Very nicely done for a 2014 with firm and silky tannins. Soft and medium-bodied. Very accessible and fun to drink. Light strawberries and chocolate.
Although Prunotto was founded as a co-operative in Piedmont in 1904, it was not until the Marchesi Antinori began to help with exporting Prunotto Barolo and Barbaresco in the 1990s, and later, becane involved in production that their wines took off. The winery has stayed true to its original values using their own vineyards to ensure quality control.
