This stunning Woodstock Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep crimson colouRED WINE with purple hues. A swirl of the glass presents lifted notes of blackcurrant and sweet black plum, along with a touch of chocolate mint. The flavours on the palate are soft and fruit-driven, enhanced by elegant and structured tannins. The fragrances and flavours in this delightful red wine fuse together to provide a long and savoury finish. It is an approachable style made for early consumption, tasting excellent with grilled lamb loin chops, mashed potatoes, or a fresh summer salad.
Woodstock's history began in the early 1900s, when Shiraz vines were planted on the estate by English settlers. The estate was purchased by the late Doug Collett A.M. in 1973, who fell in love with vineyards and wines while serving as a fighter pilot in the Royal Australian Air Force during World War 2. Situated in the higher and cooler end of McLaren Vale, Woodstock Estate is the perfect home for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. Since 1982, the label has enjoyed a strong reputation for its Cabernet Sauvignon styles.
