Aspect: A glittering pale pink.
Nose: The nose opens on remarkably fresh red fruit aromas such as strawberry and raspberry. Sage and lemon balm notes emerge with airing, together with a hint of sweet pepper.
Palate: The forthright, straight and smooth attack reveals fresh red fruit flavours elegantly set off by refined spice notes, while fresh, aromatic herb flavours on the finish recall the nose, giving great length to this new Mouton Cadet Rosé vintage.
Mouton Cadet rosé is a blend of wines made using the direct pressing method, which gives a lighter colouRED WINE than a classic Bordeaux rosé, with generous fruit aromas and flavours.
In 1930 Baron Philippe had the idea of creating a younger brother for Mouton Rothschild, using grapes grown on the same terroir. As the younger son (Cadet) in his own family, he named the wine Mouton Cadet, and the brand was born
Clay-limestone and gravelly clay soil from the Côtes de Blaye and the north-east of Entre-Deux-Mers. The clay soil gives the wines plenty of fruit, while the limestone and gravelly soils bring freshness and elegance.
