Alter Ego de Palmer 2017 (750ml)

TASTING NOTES: Alter Ego 2017 is a blend of Merlot (53%), Cabernet Sauvignon (41%) and Petit Verdot (6%). In the glass, it has a beautiful purple colour, intense and deep, almost black, and a bouquet full of ripe and exuberant black and red fruits. After a few seconds, raspberries, blackberries, redcurrants and cherries wrap around tertiary scents of flowers and cocoa giving the nose a superb complexity. Medium-bodied on the attack, Alter Ego 2017 offers a mid-palate built around a black fruit core subtly marked by the tertiary flavours already present on the nose. This abundance of fresh fruits is supported by a granular and perfectly balanced tannic structure. The finish is long and of a rare elegance.
