TASTING NOTES
Colour: a lovely intense purple.
Nose: complex and intense, the nose reveals jammy blackcurrant and cherry aromas and also displays great intensity on notes of leather, toast and vanilla.
Palate: very round, with rich and powerful flowers, the wine opens on black cherry and ripe damson, followed by liquorice and mild spice and ending on a touch of black coffee. Very long on the palate, this is a complex and harmonious wine with excellent ageing potential. Menu suggestions: roast lamb, cep mushrooms, venison stew. Serving temperature: 18–19°C.
