Sitting near the village of Arcins in the heart of the Médoc, Château Chasse-Spleen produces wine under the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation. Château Chasse-Spleen is a property of 80 hectares (198 acres) sitting on Garonne gravel and clay-limestone soils, and planted to 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 7% Petit Verdot. The vines, which average 30 years of age, are perched at the top of the hill of Grand Poujeaux. Château Chasse-Spleen also produces two second-label wines: L'Ermitage de Chasse-Spleen and l'Oratoire de Chasse-Spleen, both of which reflect the excellent quality of the Château Chasse-Spleen Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel.
