Louis Roederer has been crowned The World’s Most Admired Champagne Brand for the second year in a row. More than 300 experts formed the voting academy for the Most Admired Champagne Brands 2021 survey.
Louis Roederer was established in 1776, the young Louis Roederer succeeded his uncle in 1833 and gave to the Champagne House his own name. An aesthete and entrepreneur, the heir took a visionary approach to enrich his vines, aiming to master every stage of the wine’s creation. He forged the wine’s unique style, character, and taste. In the mid-nineteenth century, Louis Roederer acquired some of Champagne’s Grand Cru vineyards — an approach that contrasted sharply with contemporary practices. He nurtured his vineyards, familiarized himself with the specific characteristics of each parcel, and methodically acquired the finest land. Louis Roederer’s guiding principle was that all great wine depends on the quality of the soil, a passion for tradition, and an astute vision of the future. Under his visionary leadership, the fame and reputation of the House of Louis Roederer were firmly established.
Louis Roederer first secured the top spot in 2018. It finished third in 2019, behind Pol Roger, but stormed back to number one last year. It retained its crown in 2021, a reward for its commitment to innovation, experimentation, and attention to detail.
Pol Roger finished second in the World’s Most Admired Champagne Brands 2021.
