The wine is aged for 8 months in French oak barrels, of which 50% are new barrels.

This small but highly respected castle is located in the municipality of Soussans. The 32-hectare vineyards of the Château Paveil de Luze have the unusual feature that the same fields have belonged to the castle since the 17th century, which is a rarity in Bordeaux.
The vines have an average age of 20 years and the grapes are harvested by machine. The annual production is 196,000 bottles. The wines have over the years shown a nice quality, which is supported by the wine's classification as a Cru Bourgeois Superieur.
