The Château Canon La Gaffeliere 2016 develops aromas of red fruit, black fruit and a beautiful minerality. On the palate, it is beautifully balanced with tasty touches of blackberry along with graphite. The wine is fresh on the palate with superb tension and an extremely persistent finish.
A Classified Growth B from the Saint-Emilion appellation, the Château Canon La Gaffeliere benefits from a vineyard planted on clay-limestone and clay-sandy soils. The wine is aged in barrels (60% in new barrels) on fine lees. The Château Canon La Gaffeliere is a blend of 55% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
